More than two dozen tornadoes were reported Sunday in the Plains. Here's the latest on damage in Nebraska and Iowa.

Nebraska Tornado Rescue: Dog, Man Pulled From Debris

Multiple, strong tornadoes have left a swath of destruction across parts of Nebraska and Iowa after striking Sunday evening into Sunday night.

One of the most damaging tornadoes tore through Howard County, Nebraska, decimating homes and other buildings in the communities of Saint Libory and Saint Paul.

Storm chasers captured terrifying video of the large twisters as they raked across farmland and then into homes.  

They also captured the heartbreaking aftermath of homes flattened and shredded. But amid the destruction, there was a miraculous rescue near Saint Libory, where teams of rescuers and neighbors pulled a man and a dog from underneath a collapsed home.

Tornadoes were also reported near Ashland and south of Plattsmouth.

In Iowa, there are reports of a tornado touching down in Woodbury County, near Sioux City, damaging homes and knocking out power in Salix and Pierson. About 6,000 customers were without power in that region of the state early Monday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.

WIth more than two dozen reports of tornadoes in the Plains Sunday, we expect to see more reports of damage from Kansas to southern Minnesota.

And the severe weather is far from over, in fact, Monday could see the most widespread threat of severe storms with strong tornadoes and destructive hail from eastern Nebraska into Kansas. See which cities are in the bullseye here.
