As wildfire smoke lingers across parts of the West, it will begin to drift eastward, improving conditions west of the Cascades, but worsen conditions for other areas. Meanwhile, hot temperatures and windy conditions return, making for tough conditions for wildfire activity and firefighters battling the blazes.
