Empty shelves as Lala closes in on Hawaii

Hawaii's Big Island is racing to prepare as Lala closes in with the threat of flooding, landslides and widespread power outages. Gas stations and supermarkets across Hilo are packed as residents stock up ahead of the weekend. The rain could top 20 inches over parts of the Big Island — even if Lala doesn't hold on to hurricane strength when it arrives.
