Multiple rounds of storms and heavy rain will last into the weekend from the Central Plains through the Ohio Valley and mid-Atlantic into the Southeast. Damaging winds are the largest threat in terms of severe weather this weekend, but isolated tornadoes are also possible in the Ohio Valley and the Central Plains could see large hail. The multiday flood threat is the result of rain falling on already saturated soils and high rivers, causing the potential for flash flooding through the weekend.
