Severe storms, flood threat for New York, Philadelphia, D.C.

There is a threat of severe storms across the Northeast today, targeting major cities along the I-95 corridor like New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington. Storms could bring threats of damaging winds, hail and even a potential tornado or two. Heavy rainfall from these storms also pose a risk of flash flooding. Expect travel troubles along I-95 and at major airport hubs. The worst of the storms will flare up in the evening and overnight hours, so make sure you have a way to receive emergency alerts.
