Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Thursday for a belt of real estate from Minnesota to Maryland and North Carolina, including a threat of tornadoes. The main threat will be damaging winds. Places like Minneapolis, Columbus, Ohio, Baltimore, Norfolk, Virginia, Pittsburgh and Washington need to be on alert. Additional storms are possible in the mid-Atlantic for Friday. With multiple rounds of severe storms and heavy rainfall, we could see the threat of flash flooding. Here’s when you should be indoors ahead of the Labor Day holiday weekend.
