The stormy spell in the East continues Friday and into the weekend, with more storms possible from the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley into the mid-Atlantic. Major cities that could be impacted include Detroit, Columbus and Washington, D.C. The main threat Friday includes damaging winds, especially in the Ohio Valley, and power outages are possible in Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Flash flooding is also possible from the western Great Lakes to the mid-Atlantic due to rain falling on already saturated soils from yesterday’s storms.
