Extreme heat is plaguing the Central and Southern Plains with record-breaking heat continuing into midweek. Over 20 million people are under heat advisories in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas, including Dallas, New Orleans and Oklahoma City. Extreme heat warnings have been issued in eastern Kansas and western Missouri, including Kansas City. We break it down and look at when some areas could see some relief.
