The South will be the nation's main weather headache the remainder of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Travel for Thanksgiving in 2020 is expected to be lighter than usual as fewer Americans hit the road or head to the airport because of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to AAA.

Here's a daily look at what to expect for your holiday plans.

Sunday's Forecast

An intensifying storm system will make wet conditions become more widespread in parts of the South and Ohio Valley on Sunday. This wet weather will reach the East Coast by Sunday night.

-East: Rain and thunderstorms are likely in the Southeast during the day. This activity will spread north into the Mid-Atlantic states Sunday night.

-Central: Rain may change to snow late Sunday or Sunday night in parts of the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley. Most of the Plains will remain dry.

-West: The West should remain dry, however, some rain may arrive in western Washington and Oregon Sunday night.
