Thanksgiving Day

Widespread rain showers are expected along a front on Thanksgiving Day from portions of southern and eastern Texas into the lower Mississippi, Tennessee and Ohio valleys. Southeast Texas could see some thunderstorms and possibly locally heavy rainfall.

Rain and mountain snow showers could also dampen travel plans in the Pacific Northwest from a new cold front pushing into the coast.

Friday's Forecast

Rain showers could linger along the immediate Eastern Seaboard as the cold front pushes off the coast.

Behind the front, wind-whipped snow showers might impact parts of the interior Northeast.

Strong wind gusts will impact parts of the mid-Atlantic into New England. This might contribute to a few delays at airports along the East Coast.

Rain and mountain snow will continue in the Pacific Northwest from the latest storm system to hit the region.

Saturday's Forecast

Snow showers could linger across parts of northern New England as the system moves off the coast. Additional lake effect snow is possible in the eastern Great Lakes.

Rain showers are also possible across parts of central and southern Texas.

The Northwest will see another round of soaking rain and higher elevation snowfall.

Sunday's Forecast

Dry conditions are expected across most of the country.

A disturbance could wring out some flurries or snow showers from the Great Lakes into the central Appalachians and possibly parts of the Northeast.

Parts of the Gulf Coast could see scattered showers.

Rain showers will continue on the Northwestern coast.
