Monday's Forecast

A low pressure system pushing eastward will spread rain and snow into parts of the Midwest and Northeast on Monday. Snow or a mix of rain and snow is expected from the upper-Mississippi Valley into the Great Lakes and parts of New York and Pennsylvania. Rain is likely farther south from the southern Great Lakes into the Ohio Valley and parts of the mid-Atlantic.

Another system in the West will bring additional rounds of snow from parts of the Northwest into the Sierra, Great Basin and parts of the Rockies. Rain is possible through much of the lower elevations of California. Gusty winds are also expected for much of the West, as well as in the Northern Plains and upper-Mississippi Valley.

Dry conditions are anticipated for much of the central U.S. and the South. Above-average temperatures will persist across the South into parts of the Midwest. Meanwhile, temperatures will be well below average from the Northwest into parts of the Northern Plains.
