Natural Disasters Could Wipe Out 3,000 Species, Study Says

A new study says thousands of creatures face extinction from natural disasters like hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Some of these species are already in peril from human-caused events like deforestation and urbanization, which have dwindled their numbers and forced them to live in smaller, restricted areas that are literal danger zones.
