Severe Weather Threat Shifts East Wednesday, Thursday

The severe weather threat is a level 3 out of 5 for places like Indianapolis, Louisville and Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Wednesday. Clusters of storms should develop Wednesday afternoon, merging into a line of storms Wednesday evening. Damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes will all be possible. Locally heavy rain could also lead to flash flooding. The threat for severe storms shifts east Thursday, putting the Interstate 95 corridor at risk, including New York City, Philadelphia, D.C. and Baltimore.
