California Gets A New National Marine Sanctuary

California’s Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary is one of the largest in the country, and includes important cultural sites along the Central Coast. It also aims to protect critical habitat and help protect oceans and sea life from the impacts of climate change, including marine heat waves.
