We are tracking a slow moving storm system that will bring beneficial rain and higher elevation snow to the western U.S. early this week. Rain will begin to impact the West Coast Monday, but the best chances for widespread rain and storms will be on Tuesday. Localized flooding will be possible where the heaviest and most persistent rain sets up. Twelve to 18 inches of snow will be possible above 5,000 feet with up to 2 feet at the highest peaks. Rain and snow will move east into the interior portions of the West on Wednesday. Here is the latest hour-by-hour forecast.
