South, Southeast To See Much-Needed Rainfall

While it has been one of the driest starts to the year for much of the South, a shift is finally on the way. Rainfall is expected this week and even into next week, which should help chip away at the widespread, ongoing drought. However, it won’t end the drought as it will take multiple rounds of rainfall, but anywhere from 1 to 4 inches is expected over the next several days, with isolated pockets potentially seeing even more.
