The first heat wave of the summer is expected to set up later this week and last into the following week for much of the Midwest and Northeast. High temperatures should reach the mid to upper 90s, with some locations hitting the century mark several days in a row. Feel like temperatures will be in triple digits for many as humidity levels climb into the uncomfortable range.
