A stuck pattern will bring heavy rain and localized flooding from the Midwest and mid-Atlantic this weekend. Chicago, St. Louis, Baltimore, Washington, DC, Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Norfolk could each experience some flooding. Heavy downpours could produce rainfall rates in excess of 3 inches per hour in places that don’t need anymore rain. A few severe storms will be possible with damaging winds as the main threat, but a tornado or two are also possible from Iowa to Michigan.
