Nor’easter Slams Northeast For One More Day

October 17, 2025

The nor’easter will continue to impact the Northeast Monday before conditions improve Tuesday as the storm moves away from the East Coast. Heavy rain, gusty winds, and moderate to major coastal flooding will continue. Monday’s midday/early afternoon high tide is of most concern along the Delaware beaches, Jersey shore and Long Island as moderate to major coastal flooding is in the forecast. Large waves, rough surf and a high risk for rip currents will make it dangerous to be at the beaches. Coastal flooding will still be possible on Tuesday, but water levels should come down as the storm moves away from the U.S.
