Nor’Easter Hitting Mid-Atlantic And Northeast

A Nor’easter is moving along the East Coast, bringing wind, rain and waves Sunday. Coastal flood alerts extend across parts of the East Coast from Jacksonville, Florida to parts of Long Island, New York, where 1-3 feet of inundation above ground level is expected. Coastal inundation could potentially cause damage to coastal communities, especially during high tide. There are currently over 10 river gauges across the Mid-Atlantic that are forecast to reach major flood stage in the coming days. High surf advisories are also in place for parts of the Mid-Atlantic, where large waves over 10 feet are possible. Wind advisories are also in effect along the coast, where widespread gusts over 55 mph are possible. Here is the latest.
