Spring showers and mountain snowfall were severely lacking across the West this winter and early spring, but the pattern has shifted to bring much-needed relief. Although snowpack is running extremely low, mountain snowfall measured in feet will help to restore some of the deficit. However, there is still a long way to go and much more is needed. Lower elevations will see this moisture as rain, with 1-2 inches possible in Northern California. Here’s the latest.
