Several clusters of severe storms will impact Sunday plans across the parts of the Northeast and Ohio Valley. Damaging winds will be the main threat, but large hail and isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out. Localized heavy rain could also lead to flooding and the flood threat is increasing across Central Illinois. Rainfall rates could reach as high as 3-4 inches per hour for places like Springfield and Effingham, just south of Champaign, Illinois.
