We are tracking a strong cold front that will move across the Eastern U.S. Friday into Saturday. Ahead of the front, record heat is likely, with highs climbing into the 80s in Atlanta, Raleigh, Charlotte and Charleston. Behind the front, much cooler air invades the region with highs dropping into the 30s and 40s along the Interstate 95 corridor and highs only in the 50s and 60s across the Southeast.
