The relentless heat is ongoing across the Southwest. And after a very brief cooldown, the record heat will spread back into the Central Plains into early next week. Temperatures in the 80s and 90s are expected across much of these regions, running 20 to nearly 40 degrees above average. Phoenix will continue to hover in the mid to upper 90s, while cities like Dallas, Austin, Oklahoma City and Kansas City will see temps in the mid to upper 80s. Here’s the latest.
