It’s October, but certainly won’t feel like it across the Northeast, where high temperatures will soar well into the 80s Monday and Tuesday ahead of a cold front. Record highs will be in jeopardy on Monday for places like Boston, Burlington and multiple cities in Maine, including Portland, Bangor and Caribou. Flood Threat Takes Aim At Missouri, Tennessee, Ohio Valleys

A strong cold front will bring the chance for showers and storms to the Missouri Valley, Ohio Valley and Tennessee Valley Monday and Tuesday. Heavy rain could lead to flooding in places like Louisville, Paducah, Memphis and Little Rock Monday into Monday night. The flood threat shifts slightly to the east Tuesday, but still includes much of Kentucky and Tennessee. Two Rainmakers To Watch Across Gulf And Bahamas

As thunderstorms and tropical activity pick up across the Atlantic, weak rainmakers with no chance of tropical development will still bring heavy rainfall to the Gulf Coast and Southeast U.S. The first rainmaker is located over southern Florida and the Bahamas - this area was formed off an old frontal boundary draped across the Southeast and will bring heavy rain to Florida. The second rainmaker being monitored by the National Hurricane Center is located off the coast of Louisiana and also has no chance of tropical development. However, it will bring heavy rainfall for portions of the Gulf Coast and Deep South.
