Mountain Sunset

Stone Mountain Park is a natural wonder, located just outside of the city of Atlanta.  Inside this beautiful park which is covered with plenty of greenery, is the park's main feature, a  quartz monzonite or an intrusive igneous rock which protrudes from the earth beneath. This giant boulder is often  affectionately  referred to as  “Our Granite Mother”, with it’s north face etchings of the confederate soldiers, Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, and Jefferson Davis, Stone Mountain is truly a one of  a kind.
