The Cloud House in suburban Melbourne, Australia is the latest in our series of homes weather geeks will love.

(PHOTOS: A Modern Pyramid Home)

Designed by Australia-based architecture firm McBride Charles Ryan, the cloud is an addition to the original home. The whimsical structure was built onto the back end of the house, which not only allows the residents to enjoy more natural light inside their home, but it also gives them wider views of their surroundings.

The addition faces south, which allows "controlled north sun into the living area and providing effective cross ventilation," according to the architects.

And if you look close enough, you'll notice that this cloud indeed has a silver lining.
