Thousands Flee As Indonesia’s Mount Semeru Erupts

A volcano on one of Indonesia’s most densely populated islands erupted Wednesday, forcing thousands to flee their homes. New video shows a massive cloud of ash looming over Java Island as Mount Semeru erupted multiple times. Indonesia sits along the Pacific “Ring of Fire” and has 129 active volcanoes.
