Tsunami alerts were issued across the Pacific shores in Hawaii, Alaska and the West Coast states of California, Oregon and Washington following a massive earthquake in Russia on Tuesday. The 8.8 magnitude quake is tied for the sixth-largest earthquake ever recorded. Rapidly fluctuating water levels have been observed Wednesday morning on the U.S. West Coast as tsunami waves arrived.
