In a heartwarming rescue in Destin, Florida, a dog named Eeyore became an unlikely hero after he led authorities to his fallen walker. Bodycam footage captured the remarkable moment when the canine guided an Okaloosa County Sheriff's deputy to an 86-year-old woman who had fallen during their neighborhood stroll.

The incident began when the elderly woman's concerned husband contacted authorities on Sept. 25. "She just takes that dog, but she never takes more than 10 or 15 minutes," he explained anxiously to Deputy Devon Miller, noting that his wife had been gone for over an hour.

While patrolling the neighborhood, Deputy Miller spotted Eeyore standing alone in the middle of the street. After greeting the dog with "Hi! Where's your mommy?", the intuitive canine immediately led the officer to where the elderly woman had fallen nearby.

"He practically dragged me to her," Miller recounted in a department social media video released Wednesday.

The alert woman, who was subsequently transported to a medical facility, expressed astonishment at Eeyore's actions. "He came up to your car?" she asked Miller incredulously. She then lovingly addressed the dog: "Oh, sweetheart ... Oh Eeyore, you're such a good boy. Grandma loves you."

Most surprisingly, the woman noted that Eeyore wasn't even her own dog, making his rescue efforts that much more remarkable.
