Weather Buddies: 'Arlo'

Meet Arlo, a 14 year-old Congo African Grey parrot who lives in the Pacific Northwest. Arlo's owner writes, "I’m a local weather nerd aka weather enthusiast with a pretty successful local weather group on Facebook. While I’m at my desk looking at weather models, satellite imagery, radars, weather history and anything else that you might think of for meteorology I’ve always got my 'supervisor' at my side. I swear people like seeing him in posts more than the actual weather content. My supervisor being Arlo. He’s a 14 year old Congo African Grey 'CAG' for short. Some of his meteorological observations are spot on, other times he just wants to get it over with and demand a pistachio and a head rub. Supervisors I tell ya! He has a fairly large vocabulary but as far as methodology related he says “surface low' 'raiiiiiin' and 'troughing.' What with being in the PNW those are three terms he’s heard a lot!"
