Tourists gathered along the banks of the Yellow River in Ji County, Shanxi Province in China to watch the surging water flow over Hukou Waterfall. The river's flood season began Wednesday, July 1, and recent upstream rainfall brought the river's Xiaolangdi Reservoir Dam to discharge water by 4,800 cubic meters per second on Tuesday, according to CGTN.

More than 10 million people in 26 provinces of China have been affected by torrential rain since June, Taiwan News reported. Southern China has suffered most from the floods over the last few weeks. The rain has caused mudslides and evacuations.

CNA reported that the rain has displaced more than 700,000 people in China, and at least 78 people have been killed in the floods.
