One person remains missing after heavy rains and an overnight windstorm triggered a landslide about 60 miles east of Portland, Oregon, in the early hours of Wednesday. Rescuers are searching for the missing person in mud as deep as 10 feet.

The storm left more than 600,000 homes and businesses without power. The heavy winds downed trees and highways were shut down across Oregon and Washington.

The storm is being blamed for the death of one person who died when a tree fell on her car, according to Spokane Fire Chief Brian Schaeffer.
