A winter storm brought snow to Chicago, parts of the Upper Midwest and the East Coast on Tuesday, after causing travel headaches in the Plains on Monday.

The storm, named Winter Storm Nathaniel by The Weather Channel, was the biggest storm Chicago has seen this season, ABC 7 reported. Chicago's O'Hare Airport reported 5.8 inches by noon, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm is expected to move up into the Northeast Tuesday evening, with accumulating snow into Wednesday morning.
