A nor'easter knocked out power to hundreds of thousands in New England Tuesday night into Wednesday after bringing floods and heavy rains to parts of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania Tuesday.

A nor'easter knocked out power to hundreds of thousands in New England Tuesday night into Wednesday after bringing floods and heavy rains to parts of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania Tuesday.

Nearly half a million customers were without power in Massachusetts Wednesday morning, according to poweroutage.us, and the total number of outages in New England was over 600,000 as of 11 a.m. EDT.

In Duxbury, Massachusetts, winds were clocked up to 84 mph, and 94% of the town was without power on Wednesday morning. Photos show major damage and several large trees down in the area.

On Tuesday, flooding was reported in several areas of New Jersey, with water rescues performed in Somerset and Monmouth counties. Residential areas in Middlesex County were inundated with floodwaters as seen in the images above.
