Millions of people around the world are preparing to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

This year is the Year of the Tiger, and it begins Feb. 1.

Also known as Chinese New Year, it's known as Spring Festival in mainland China.

Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, Malaysia, North Korea and Taiwan also observe a national holiday for the new year.
