Millions felt the impacts of Winter Storm Landon as it dumped snow and ice on the Plains, Midwest and Northeast.

Major interstates quickly became covered in wintry precipitation, making travel difficult. On Friday morning, a stretch of Interstate 10 North near Kerrville, Texas, was closed for hours with hundreds of drivers stranded after the freeway became impassable due to jackknifed semis and icy conditions.
