Tens of thousands were left in the dark and at least five deaths occurred as Winter Storm Oaklee marched from coast to coast across the United States.

The storm spanned an entire week, bringing impacts from the Pacific Northwest down to the Southwest and eventually across the Plains and Ohio Valley. It will finally depart the U.S. Friday after bringing more snow and ice to the Northeast and New England.

Oaklee has been blamed for five deaths. An 18-month-old who was killed in a crash on icy roads Wednesday in Kentucky, and the Associated Press said four deaths were confirmed in crashes on Missouri roads.
