A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck Argentina Sunday afternoon (3:57 p.m. EST Sunday), according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor occurred at a depth of 72 miles, the USGS also reported. The quake's epicenter was 15 miles southwest of San Juan, and 6 miles southwest of Zonda, Argentina.

There were no reports of major damage or injuries, and any risk of a tsunami was quickly ruled out by Chile's navy, according to CBC.
