A​ cold front moving into the East will bring possible severe thunderstorms and flooding rainfall on Tuesday.

Showers and storms are ongoing from the Great Lakes into the East right now. Below is a look at the latest radar as well as any active watches and warnings.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are most possible today from southern New Jersey southward to eastern Virginia and eastern North Carolina. Damaging straight-line winds are the main concern, but an isolated tornado is possible.

A​ few isolated severe storms are possible as far north as southern New England and as far south as northern Florida.

Locally heavy rain may also lead to flash flooding, especially from southeastern Virginia into North Carolina.
