A tv news helicopter reported spotting a tornado just before 6 p.m Sunday in Stephens County, Okla. Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management spokeswoman Keli Cain said there were no reports of injury or damage.

The stormy weekend system stretched as far north as the Great Lakes. Hail as large as 2" fell in Illinois, while high winds in Michigan knocked out power and closed Interstate 75 for several hours.

The potential for severe weather marched into the Deep South Monday, prompting several severe thunderstorm watches across the region.
