Last Year’s Marine Heat Wave A Major Blow To Florida Coral

Researchers aiming to understand the impact of extreme ocean heat on coral reefs provided some grim news in a new report. Coral reefs in the Caribbean Basin, including around Florida, appear to have taken a major hit after record temperatures last year. While some corals fared better than others, staghorn coral was severely impacted.
