Biden Administration Imposes PFAS Limit For Drinking Water

For the first time, there will be strict limits on the amount of PFAS, or so-called “forever chemicals,” in drinking water nationwide. PFAS can contribute to a litany of health issues, including cancer. The new rule will limit the amount of PFAS in drinking water to the lowest level it can be reliably measured. Supporters of the rule say 100 million fewer people will see reduced exposure to PFAS, but critics say it will cost billions of dollars to implement, and that’s going to be very difficult in communities with fewer resources.
