The metro Atlanta area woke up to smoky, hazy conditions Wednesday morning after a high pressure system drew smoke from wildfires in south Georgia and Florida northward into the region. The rest of the week is facing more of the same as the stable air mass continues to feed waves of smoke into the interior Southeast and as drought conditions continue to provide fuel for the fires.
