Daredevils like Ryan Robinson take “ocean views” to an extreme level as they walk across slacklines, hundreds of feet above the sea, in Tasmania, Australia.

Photographer Krystle Wright captured nail-biting photos of Robinson and other highline athletes while they journeyed from one rock tower to another in the Moai, located at Fortescue Bay.

“It takes many years to develop the skills to walk a line of this caliber,” Wright said.

Known as “Handsome Robinson” on social media, Ryan Robinson is a highliner extraordinaire. He lives to tip-toe his way across slacklines around the world. “Before [highlines], I had been involved in a lot of cool stuff—mountaineering, climbing, bike trials, competitive triathlons—and I knew right away that this was next on the list,” Robinson wrote on Balance Community blog. “From that day on, I studied everything I could find.”

“Highlining definitely takes a lot of preparation and problem-solving to get the line up,” said Wright. Once the line is secured, athletes can enjoy being out in the open air, and the stunning view from above. “The coastline of Tasmania is truly unique, and draws in rock climbers and highliners from around the world.”

Located off Australia’s southeastern coast, Tasmania is a favorite spot for many nature-goers, with a craggy coastline, lined with-sand beaches and wild rivers that are great for kayaking.

“There’s nothing like this anywhere else in the world,” said Wright. “It’s just quite an awesome moment to enjoy the hard work, and sit back and watch it unfold.”
