This hang gliding flight above Quebec, Canada, was supposed to be an exhilarating way to see the snowy landscape.

But the adventure turns sour just a few minutes in when the glider runs into power lines.

He says he knew there were lines in the area, but they blended into the surroundings. He never saw them until it was too late.

As jolting as the video is, he was able to safely untangle himself and get back on the ground.
