Every winter, an Austrian village built entirely of snow and ice opens to the public, offering guests the opportunity to spend a few nights in a winter wonderland.

Located in the Brixental valley, near the Hochbrixten mountain station, Alpeniglu is an igloo village with 18 igloos available to rent, an ice restaurant and ice bar (food served on an ice table and cocktails served in a real ice glass, of course), and easy access to world-class skiing.

The village, which is open from December to March (dependent on weather conditions), also showcases ice sculptures in an exhibition center, according to the Daily Mail. Guests are also invited to carve their own ice sculptures during workshop.

And while guests sleep in a frosty igloo made of ice, the hotel ensures comfort and warmth with a few luxurious details, providing a thermal poncho, snow-proof mattress, sleeping bags, reindeer hides and even a nighty bonfire.

For honeymooning couples, the hotel provides more romantic amenities such as candles, heart pillows and "extra cozy" blankets for their igloo, according to the Alpeniglu website.

Want a destination wedding? The village also has an ice-chapel for those looking to get married, according to the Telegraph.

Overnight rates at Alpeniglu start at €155 (around US$209).
