New research from the U.K. reveals that hairdressers and barbers are emerging as powerful climate change influencers. A study published in Humanities and Social Sciences Communications found that when researchers placed eco-tips on salon mirrors across the U.K., 73% of clients said they'd change their hair care habits. With over 61,000 hair and beauty businesses in the U.K. and more than 1 million in the U.S., these trusted professionals could be key to spreading climate action through everyday conversations. The study was conducted by researchers at Cardiff University and other U.K. institutions.
