Kiko Continues To Weaken As It Approaches Hawaii

September 9, 2025

Kiko remains a hurricane, but continues to weaken as it approaches Hawaii. Kiko is expected to pass north of the Hawaiian Islands Tuesday and Wednesday as a tropical storm. However, large swells will impact the east-facing beaches starting today, increasing the threat for large dangerous waves and rip currents. Scattered showers and gusty winds will be possible through the middle of the week, but the strongest winds should remain just offshore.
