At Least 17 Dead As Floods, Tornadoes Slam Midwest, South

Tens of thousands of homes and businesses lost power Saturday and Sunday as severe storms pounded much of the Midwest and South with relentless rain that triggered deadly flash floods. Storm-related deaths were reported in Tennessee, Missouri, Kentucky, Arkansas and Indiana, and tornado warnings were issued throughout Saturday night in Alabama and Mississippi.
